Wattyl Case Study

Who are Wattyl?

With more than 1,000 staff across five offices, three manufacturing and distribution sites, and a network of over 130 retail stores and resellers, the Wattyl group knew they needed to automate their manual invoice management processes to relieve time-consuming, cumbersome tasks. It worked so well that they then went on to automate their procurement processes with Basware, too.

What was the challenge we helped to resolve?

Having chosen Basware from six vendors, due to Basware’s well-established reputation in the market, the Wattyl group were able to process and archive all of their incoming invoices electronically in a short period of time, saving paper and reducing storage costs. More importantly, once they used Basware’s invoice automation solution, they moved on to automate their procurement processes with Basware’s procurement and purchase management solutions too.

Store managers no longer have to go through lengthy processes to order anything from stationery to plumbing services, and the procurement process is automated all the way from purchasing to receipt and payment. The system now automatically cross-checks the content of orders with invoices and if it matches, the invoice is automatically sent to the AP system to be processed. This has given Wattyl and their parent company, Valspar US, greater control, financial visibility, and communication – resulting in improved cost and resource savings as well as happy employees and suppliers.
