Our Customers are the King of the Castle

How do we gather our customers’ feedback so we can improve how we serve them today and tomorrow? This blog post explains – and talks about what customers, castles and feedback have in common.

At Basware, we know that customer feedback is critical to our evolution. There is no better way of gathering that feedback than spending time with our customers and getting their input. That’s why we gathered a select group of customers in Edinburgh to discuss industry trends and how the future of automation affects them, followed by great conversation over dinner at the castle.

Why did we do it?

We wanted to create a vibrant community of executives from our Basware customers at this inaugural event. It wasn’t about Basware, however, it was about sharing inspirational visions of the future, from the eyes of industry greats, as well as our own perspective on emerging trends and challenges such as robotics, AI and the Internet of Things.

But, more importantly, we wanted to gather our key customers’ feedback and input in order to improve how we serve them today and tomorrow.

What the day’s agenda looked like:

The Basware Futures event began with a warm welcome from our CEO, Vesa Tykkyläinen. Then keynote speaker, Rohit Talwar, kicked off the day’s future-looking inspiration with a keynote address entitled “AI and the Next Frontiers of Business”. Customers also shared ideas and experience about how we can plan for change; and how to leverage the power of both people and data to adapt to emerging technologies. Andrew Bartels, VP at Forrester research, also gave his perspective on finance and procurement.

Customer feedback

  • ‘Great opportunity to sit and really look into the future of purchase-to-pay with people that know what they’re talking about both from other companies, guest speakers and Basware’. – Linde Penn, DHL Express

  • ‘Very worthwhile use of time and well organised’ – David Ford, Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer

Will we be doing it again?

Absolutely! In combination with regional events that we run all over the world, we will keep asking customers to give us their insight on what the future looks like for them, and how we can support them on their journey. Please join us at an event near you and contact us to share your ideas for the future of purchase-to-pay. We’d love to hear from you!
