Basware wins a large public digitalization award in Denmark
Basware, the leading provider of purchase-to-pay solutions, together with the Danish Agency for Governmental Management, has been awarded the 2010 Danish digitalization award for its travel and expense management software solution. Basware was responsible for the delivery and implementation in this extensive government project and now the implementation has been named the most successful Danish Government IT project of the year. The Digitalization award is handed out by leading Danish institutions to a public institution or authority for solutions that expand digital cooperation across institutions and sectors.
Basware Travel & Expense Management automates travel planning and expense reimbursement processes, improving payroll accuracy and reducing reimbursement time. At the Danish Agency for Governmental Management, processing travel expenses used to take employees several weeks. The new solution has reduced processing times, has given the government full visibility of its travel spend and ensures that book keeping is accurate.
”The travel and expense management solution, which is now being rolled out to all governmental units, will make the Danish state one of the most effective organizations in the whole country for managing a major component of its non-PO spend.
