Basware expands global e-invoicing network with new partnership agreements

Basware, the leading provider of purchase to pay solutions, has further extended its reach by signing inter operability agreements with several new e-invoicing service providers in the Netherlands, Iceland, Scandinavia and the Baltic countries. Basware works with an extended network of e-invoicing providers to ensure it delivers best practice solutions to its customers around the world., Basware’s e-invoicing network is truly global, with over 60 partners in the US, Europe and Scandinavia, providing direct connections to over 25 countries and transmitting over 9 million transactions annually.

The new agreement sees BBS (Sweden), Edisoft Baltic, Emetro (Norway), SupplierDNA (Netherlands) and Span (Iceland) join Basware’s existing network. Basware connects buyers and suppliers in their markets by forming these inter-operability agreements with local e-invoicing service providers. When connecting through the Basware network, companies can extend their business partner network while leveraging their existing e-invoicing solution, allowing them to further streamline their invoicing and payment processes.

Basware customers receive purchase invoices electronically through the Basware Business Transactions service, which is connected to the partner supplier bases. Through this monitored transfer and conversion service, Basware can deliver and convert invoice data to and from over 30 different invoice formats. Invoice data is then automatically sent to the buyers’ invoice processing solution, allowing customers to automate their entire procurement and inbound logistics cycle with suppliers. Through these automated connections, customers gain better control over cash flow with faster processing of invoices, facilitate compliance with regulatory requirements, reduce work processes, simplify audits, and mitigate risk. The suppliers, in turn, benefit from using one single connection to reach their customers.

“Basware is delighted to be working with our new partners across Europe,” says Timo Aarvala, Vice President, Basware Corp, “Flexibility is a key element in successful supply chain management and these new partnerships allow us to significantly strengthen the reach of our e-invoicing network, offering our customers improved efficiency and transparency within their financial supply chains.”

As cash-flow management takes increasingly higher priority on CPO and CFO agendas, total automation of the invoice handling process can help organisations increase savings by eliminating errors, improving DSOs, speeding up processing time and lowering workloads for improved productivity.
