Basware anyERP Adapter provides easy integration of Basware’s purchase to pay solutions with SAP® ERP

Basware, the global leader in purchase to pay solutions, today announced that its Basware anyERP Adapter 5 interface solution has achieved SAP® certified integration with the SAP NetWeaver® technology platform. The adapter is certified for integration with the SAP ERP application Release 6.0. The certification confirms integration of Basware Enterprise Purchase to Pay applications with SAP ERP systems, providing Basware customers with a smooth integration to SAP solution-based systems.

The SAP Integration and Certification Center has certified that Basware anyERP Adapter 5 properly integrates with SAP ERP 6.0 via the SAP connector for Microsoft .NET handling BAPI and RFC communications, offering a connector that is based on SAP-endorsed integration technologies and pre-tested by SAP.

“We are pleased to have achieved the SAP certified integration for our anyERP Adapter interface solution,” says Jari Tavi, CTO at Basware. ”Now we can provide even more efficiency to our customers who are also using SAP ERP, enabling them to further strengthen their business operations.”

Basware’s invoice automation and procurement solutions bring added functionality and value to companies’ existing ERP and other business systems. Basware solutions extract value from ERP systems, enabling companies to better leverage their existing ERP investments. SAP represents the largest installed ERP base for Basware with over 250 organizations using Basware solutions in conjunction with their SAP applications. Used together with the Basware Enterprise Purchase to Pay portfolio, it provides a high level of automation for procurement and invoice workflows.

“Basware anyERP Adapter enabled us to upgrade smoothly to the most recent version of SAP ERP Release 6.0, lowering TCO,” says Kurt de Smet, accounting manager, Panasonic Batteries. “Using an interface, which has been certified for integration with SAP NetWeaver, was the right choice for us.”

“Basware has taken a bold decision to move to a fully Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) model in ERP integration beyond the certification being announced today,” explains Jari Tavi. “This translates to seamless data exchange between our interface solution and ERP systems, using existing technology such as XML files or any other method supported by the ERP platform. This shortens the deployment time and delivers better Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) compared to traditional or ‘built-into’ integration models.”

Basware has been an SAP software solution partner since 2001 and has completed several integration certifications in the past. Basware continues to offer support for integrations with previous versions of SAP solutions. The Basware anyERP Adapter is based on Microsoft .NET technology and integrates Basware’s invoice automation and procurement solutions seamlessly to more than 200 different ERP systems.
