Basware aligns its organization to drive higher growth and to increase customer focus
Basware, the global leader in e-invoicing and purchase to pay solutions, is aligning its organization by establishing three business areas, Network, Financing Services and Purchase to Pay, and a global Professional Services unit as of January 1, 2016. The key aim of the alignment is to drive higher growth in Basware's network and cloud-based services and increase customer focus across Basware's key businesses.
Network business area is responsible for Basware's network business, aimed at accelerating growth of transactions in Basware Network, the largest open business commerce network in the world. The business area includes business and product management, R&D, production operations and activation services of Basware's e-invoicing services and solutions. A new Executive Team member who will head the business area will be announced early 2016.
Financing Services business area is responsible for selling and implementing Basware's innovative financing services, providing the customers with new, real-time alternatives to manage their working capital on Basware Network. The business area includes sales, business development, product management, delivery, support and production operations. Executive Team member Ad van der Poel with the title of Senior Vice President, Financing Services, will continue to head the business area.
Purchase to Pay business area is responsible for Basware's software business, extending the company's global leadership in purchase to pay solutions and driving the growth in cloud-based services. The business area consists of business and product management, R&D and production operations of Basware's world-leading, cloud-based Purchase to Pay solutions. Executive Team member Ilari Nurmi with the title of Senior Vice President, Purchase to Pay has been appointed as the head of the business area.
Professional Services is a global unit serving all Basware's customers, including project management, delivery, business consulting and related operations and development across the business areas. The unit focuses on fast delivery of all Basware's services and solutions and it will be headed by Executive Team member, Matti Rusi with the title of Senior Vice President, Professional Services.
The alignments will continue also in the Customer Care unit, a centralized unit for customer support which was established earlier this year. Customer Care is developing all Basware's support channels to better meet the needs of customers of all sizes.
All Basware Executive team members report to Basware's CEO Esa Tihilä.

The changes within the Basware organization are effective as of January 1, 2016. The changes will not have any impact on the number of personnel or a direct impact on other Basware's functions.
The changes will not have a direct impact on the key figures for Basware's current reporting segments.
